For AI companies

When cold email stops working, send a letter.

Your buyers get more AI-written email than they can read, and they don’t answer numbers they don’t know. A handwritten letter on their desk gets opened, and you can send one from the same sequences you already run.

The problem

Your buyers have tuned out

Most AI companies now sell with AI, so your buyers get sequence after sequence that all claim to be personal. They’ve learned to ignore them, and they don’t pick up calls from numbers they don’t recognise either. You can have the best product in your category and still struggle to get a first meeting.

  • 73% of B2B buyers actively avoid suppliers who send irrelevant outreach (Gartner survey of 632 buyers, published 2025)
  • Roughly 9 in 10 cold calls never reach a person (Belkins 2026 report, 175,000+ dials)
  • Every competitor calls themselves “AI-powered”, so it’s hard to sound any different
The solution

A handwritten letter gets read

A handwritten envelope looks like personal post, so it gets past the assistant and gets opened. Inside is a short letter with their name, their company and the reason you’re writing to them. You trigger it from your sequence like any other step, so sending 500 is as easy as sending five.

  • Written by a robot holding a real pen, so the pressure and spacing vary like real handwriting. It isn’t a font and it’s never printed
  • Personalised from your CRM with their name, company and a line written just for them
  • Triggered from your sequences through our REST API, Zapier or Make, and posted to prospects in the UK and the US
  • From £2.05 per letter plus postage (ex VAT), with no subscription and no minimum on automated orders
Use cases

How ai companies teams use RoboQuill.

01

Open doors at named accounts

Write to the 50 accounts you most want before your first email goes out. When your SDR or AI agent follows up, they’ll already know your name.

02

Write when something changes

Send a short note when a target account raises money, hires a new leader or has a new regulation to deal with. A letter about something that’s just happened to them gets read.

03

Restart stalled pilots

Pilots go quiet when your champion gets busy. A handwritten note to them, and to whoever holds the budget, is a better nudge than another “just checking in” email.

04

Follow up after events

If you met at a conference or on a webinar, send a letter the following week. It’ll still be on their desk after the follow-up emails have been archived.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do handwritten letters work for AI companies selling B2B?+
Yes. Your buyers are some of the most heavily prospected people around, and most of what they get is automated. A letter on their desk stands out because nothing else there looks like it. JICMAIL found 96% of direct mail prompts a physical interaction, while the average cold-email reply rate is around 3.4% (Instantly, 2026). Our best B2B campaigns have reached 40% response rates.
Isn’t a robot-written letter just more automation?+
Sending it is automated. The letter itself is written with a real pen in real ink, and the pressure and spacing change from one letter to the next, just like a person’s handwriting. It isn’t a font and it’s never printed. Your prospect gets a handwritten letter with their name on it.
How do handwritten letters fit into our outbound stack?+
Like any other step in a sequence. You trigger it from your CRM or sales engagement tool, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo or Outreach, through Zapier, Make or our REST API. Merge fields cover their name, company and a custom line. Most teams send it as the first touch to named accounts, or when an email thread goes quiet.
What should an outreach letter from an AI company say?+
Three to five sentences is plenty. Say why you’re writing to them in particular, such as a launch, a new hire or a problem in their sector. Say what you do for companies like theirs, and ask for one thing. A QR code to your calendar makes replying easy. Write it the way you’d talk to them.
How much do handwritten letters cost, and is there a minimum?+
Letters start from £2.05 each plus postage, excluding VAT, and postage is charged at cost. There’s no subscription or set-up fee, and no minimum when you send through our API, Zapier or Make. One-off manual campaigns have a minimum of 10.
Can you send letters to prospects in the US?+
Yes, we send to prospects in the UK and the US. Postage is charged at cost on top of the letter price, and we’ll confirm US rates for your volumes before anything goes out.
How quickly can we run a test?+
Letters go out within a few days of us getting your brief. Most teams start with 50 letters to their highest-value accounts, then compare replies and meetings against their email-only sequence.
